You're Investing in Your Community

As a United Way Canvasser or Campaign Coordinator, you join hundreds of others who volunteer their time and hard work to strengthen our community. You are the key to success and the reason United Way funded programs and services can help one in four people each year!

We realize asking people to give money is never an easy task.

But think of your job as giving, not taking: giving people an opportunity to experience the same pleasure you do when you donate; a chance to express their pride in Leeds-Grenville and a chance to ensure the community that we leave for our children is as rich as the one that we live in today.

You're asking for something much more meaningful than a gift of money; you're asking your peers to believe in our future and in our ability to care for one another.

If you've canvassed before, you know the rewards you gain after contributing to a successful campaign. If this is a first for you, you've got a lot to look forward to.

In addition to reviewing this guide, we suggest that you meet with a staff member of the United Way as soon as possible to determine what further assistance you might require from United Way.

Good luck in your canvassing. 29,000 people are depending on each of us to be successful.

Yours Truly,
