Day of Caring

October 6, 2006

United Way Day of Caring<TM> is a one day event that brings together workplaces, employees, community groups and agencies to work on-site at community projects. Participating in the project promotes a deeper understanding of community issues, provides excellent team building opportunities and helps make Leeds & Grenville a better place in which to live and work. These hands-on projects allow workplaces and their employees to demonstrate social responsibility and to make a positive impact in the communities where stakeholders live and work. Projects completed through Day of Caring will help make a tangible difference in the lives of agency clients and allow local non-profits to focus more resources on front-line services. Our 2006 event took place on Friday, October 6th.

Teams from 3M, Chevron Construction, Hydron One, Trillium Healthcare Manufacturing, Brockville Braves and the Upper Canada District School Board participated in this year's event and we have some of the pictures here. For more pictures, or to obtain higher resolution photos of those shown here, please contact us.
