Calling All Competitive Athletes
Do you think you have what it takes to win the United Way of Leeds & Grenville’s Indoor Triathlon? On Sunday, November 23, 2008, we are giving 20 area teams their chance to see if they can come out on top in this year’s Indoor Triathlon.
The event, the third annual, sees teams of two completing a 1.5 km swim, 25 km cycle, and 10 km run at the Brockville and Area YMCA.
Partners can tag each other off as many times as they like, and the clock will stop for transition times.
In order to register:
- Each participant must be 19 years of age or older.
- Each participant must sign a waiver form releasing United Way and their
member agencies from liability.
- Each team must collect a minimum of $300 in pledges (per team)
The team that raises the most money will receive 3 minutes shaved off of their final time.
We are taking only 20 teams of two; spots fill up fast, so register soon.
Leeds & Grenville Indoor Triathlon is an important fundraiser for United Way, as well as a great day for both racers and race organizers. Last year, the event raised over $11,000.
