8-Ball Challenge Smashes Goal

They've done it again! Pricedex Software and 104.9 JR fm Hometown Radio teamed up for the Pricedex Corporate 8-Ball Challenge, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of fun and pool. They smashed their fundraising goal of $20,000 and raised a staggering $25,000 in one afternoon! What a way to kick-start United Way's 2008 Campaign! Our thanks to all the teams, sponsors, prize donors, and, of course, the good people at Sam's Brass Racks and Broad Street Bar & Billiards. Our deepest thanks go out to the indefatigable efforts of Bruce, Terry, Jeff, Eileen, and Fran. Is there anything they can't do?

Stay tuned for some pictures of the event in our photo gallery.

Youth Summit 2008

Following the success of United Way of Leeds and Grenville’s 2007 Youth Summit, we are excited to announce that we will be once again hosting this event. See the poster, view the schedule, and find out about the speakers.

We Say Thanks to Our Volunteers

On Friday, February 15, we at United Way got to say THANK YOU to the hundreds of volunteers and businesses who made our 2007 campaign a success. We gathered at Galaxy Cinemas Brockville for our annual awards and thank you ceremony and it was a real red-carpet affair. We also unveiled our campaign total: $909,852.71. That's incredible! Thanks to everyone who came out - you're all the 'stars' of the 2007 United Way campaign.

Goooooooooooooooal!

United Way of Leeds & Grenville is thrilled to announce that it had reached its campaign goal of $870,000 on Friday, December 14, 2007. That afternoon, some campaign volunteers gathered at the United Way's living thermometer, a lighted tree outside Trillium Healthcare Manufacturing on Parkedale Avenue in Brockville to spread the good news. (We managed a quick photo.)

We here at United Way extend our deepest thanks to everyone who was involved in campaign. You did it, Leeds and Grenville!

Whitening / Brightening Program

Dr. John M. Arnott's Family Dentistry has a special, year-round whitening program in support of United Way. It's a supervised at-home whitening program, and you get a plan that's tailor-made for you. You don't even need to be a patient of Dr. Arnott's to benefit from this wonderful service. We're certainly thankful for Dr. Arnott and his staff's support -- it gives us all a reason to smile.

For more information, call (613) 342-5400 or stop by their office at 6 Victoria Avenue, Brockville. Or, you can visit them on the web at www.downtownsmiles.com.
