Job Title: Administrative Support Officer

Work Term: 8 weeks (35 hours per week), 14.00 per hour

In this position, you will be providing support to the Director, Resource Development and the Data Communications Coordinator with the United Way Leeds & Grenville.

Work activities to include:

  • Work closely with, and provide support to, Marketing and Data Management Team
  • Preparation of a variety of marketing material
  • Preparation and coordination of donor mailings
  • Preparation workplace giving kits
  • Preparation for various events and information sessions
  • Assisting with a variety of community fundraising and workplace events
  • All other duties as required and supported by the members of the United Way team

Qualifications

  • You must be a student.  Preferred level of education: Post-Secondary
  • You must take direction well, but also able to make decisions and take initiative
  • You must be enthusiastic and have a positive personality
  • You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You must be professional, dependable, and possess a solid work ethic
  • You must be able to work in a collaborative environment to ensure effective project delivery

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Eye for detail and a dedication to quality
  • Excellent spelling and proofreading skills
  • Background in graphic design an asset
  • Strong background in the use of Publisher, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel

Job Title: Volunteer Co-ordinator, Social Services

Work Term: 8 weeks (35 hours per week),  $14.00 per hour

In this position, you will be providing support to the Director, Resource Development in the recruitment and coordination of volunteers.  Additionally, this position requires the successful candidate to assist in the coordination of numerous fundraising initiatives. 

Work activities to include:

  • Work closely with, and provide support to, the United Way team
  • Assist in the recruitment and coordination of volunteers for numerous fundraising initiatives running throughout 2020
  • Preparation for various events and information sessions
  • Prepare workplace giving kits
  • Assist with a variety of community fundraising and workplace events
  • All other duties as required and supported by the members of the United Way Team

Qualifications

  • You must be a student.  Preferred level of education: Post-Secondary
