
Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is powered by dedicated volunteers who help eligible individuals and families complete their income tax returns free of charge.
The program operates year-round Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is located on the 2nd Floor at 42 George Street in Brockville.

About the Program
The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program helps eligible individuals and families with modest incomes complete their income tax and benefit returns free of charge. The program is supported by trained volunteers who are committed to helping community members access the benefits and credits they may be entitled to receive.

How It Works
Clients are asked to complete an intake form and provide all required tax documents before their return can be processed. Returns are completed by trained volunteers through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
Eligibility
The program is intended for individuals and families with modest incomes and simple tax situations.
How do I know if I qualify?
Low to Moderate Income Filers:
- Individual: maximum income of $40,000
- Couple: maximum combined income of $50,000
- Individual with Dependents: maximum income of $70,000
What to Bring
Please ensure you bring:
- Government-issued identification
- Social Insurance Number(s)
- All tax slips and income information
- Receipts for deductions or credits

- Additional information may be requested if required to complete a return.
