A new United Way Leeds & Grenville initiative honouring seven remarkable individuals whose impact continues to shape our community.

United Way Leeds & Grenville Launches Top 7 Over 70™ Awards to Honour Inspiring Community Leaders

Leeds & Grenville, ON – United Way Leeds & Grenville is inviting the community to come together to recognize and celebrate the individuals whose lives and contributions have helped shape the region we call home.

The Top 7 Over 70™ Awards will honour seven extraordinary individuals over the age of 70 who continue to make a meaningful impact through leadership, volunteerism, and service. These are the people who built our communities and who continue to give their time, energy, and heart to make Leeds & Grenville stronger.

Too often, these stories go unrecognized. This program shines a light on those who are still making a difference today — proving that purpose, generosity, and impact have no age limit.

“This is about more than an award,” said Hailie Jack, Executive Director at United Way Leeds & Grenville. “It’s about honouring the people who have given so much to our community — and who continue to do so. It’s about making sure they feel seen, valued, and celebrated.”

Community members are encouraged to nominate someone who has made a difference — a neighbour, mentor, volunteer, or leader whose story deserves to be shared.

The program will culminate in a community celebration on October 30th at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, where recipients will be honoured and their stories brought to life. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

United Way is also inviting local businesses and organizations to support the event through sponsorship, helping ensure these individuals are recognized in a way that reflects their impact.
